This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

To proactively ensure the warehouse management system and automation systems run smoothly, identifying, and solving issues and driving continuous improvement of the logistics operation

Experience

This role would be suited to someone who has worked as a WMS Super User, WMS Key User, Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, WMS Specialist, Warehouse Systems Specialist, Flow Room Technician, or an individual who is a competent user of WMS.

 

Key responsibilities and duties - daily tasks will include but not be limited to:
 

  • System Management
    • Review data exchanges between the warehouse management system and automation systems
    • Identify ‘stuck’ transactions and correct as appropriate.
    • Monitor flow and activity between different areas of the warehouse.
    • Liaise with operational colleagues to correct issues.
    • Work alongside the automation resident maintenance team
    • Ensuring data integrity is maintained whilst also assisting with root cause analysis, error containment and proactively providing workable solutions to reduce any process failures.

 

  • Continual Improvement
    • Collate key performance indicators for the different systems.
    • Identify and log any issues that occur with relevant corrective actions.
    • Train colleagues on the corrective actions if appropriate
    • Test updates and changes to the various systems prior to release to production.

 

  • Organisational Capability
    • Document and review standard operating procedures.
    • Create and maintain a schedule of proactive system checks.
    • Conduct site inductions

 

  • Safety management
    • Monitor the safety feed on the automation system, identifying any issues and raising them with the relevant operational management.
